Personally I think its abit weird cause I dont do them things. However not because I dont do it that doesnt mean its bad, some people e.g. men might get pleasure from masturbating! Whenever someone says masturbate i suddenly think 'oh men' because they are more commonly known to do them sort of things. lol. However in the lesson women were admitting to do it as well :)! Its not bad if he/she does it in private but its bad when an individual decide to make it public, if u know what i mean!
